We are regulars here! The baked goods they have are always fresh and flakey. Their coffee and matcha are high quality. The staff is friendly and creates a great atmosphere of playful banter while helping guide you with recommendations.

Just wanted to take a moment and personally thank Ari, Michelle, and Meleh for such amazing and quality service — I come here to WFH almost daily and have always been met with such kindness, warmth and quick service. These girls make my morning so much brighter, in combination with a wonderful ambiance and WFH set up, this is the place to go to!!! Thank you girls for all you do!!! Despite a high volume of customers, they always make sure the wait lines are quick and my time here is seamless!! Highly recommend to anybody who lives in the JSQ area to stop in and bring your laptops!!!

I've become a regular at Almost Home, and there's a reason I keep coming back. Michelle and Ari are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you'll meet. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like more than just a customer. They genuinely create a sense of community and make the space feel like home. My go-to order is the cereal latte with oat milk (extra sweet) and they make it perfectly every single time. They're always happy to accommodate my preferences, and the consistency is amazing. I also highly recommend the food. Top tier! Ari is the baker and let me tell you...she can bake! There are always so many goodies to choose from. I like this one more than the one in downtown JC but don't tell anyone I said that. Great coffee, great food, and even better people. If you're looking for a local cade with incredible service and a warm atmosphere Almost Home is your spot. Thank you guys for everything! See you tomorrow lol

10 stars if I could — The Cafe has become one of my absolute favorite spots, and for good reason. Let's start with the staff: they're amazing. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful — they actually take the time to make great recommendations instead of just pointing at the menu. You can tell they know their stuff and care about the experience they're giving you. Shoutout especially to Ariana, whose homemade pastries are in a league of their own. The difference between what she makes in-house and what they bring in from outside is night and day — her stuff wins every single time. She "Puts her foot in it" The coffee is excellent, the food is consistently good, and the attention to quality across the board is evident in every bite and every cup. And somehow, none of it breaks the bank — it's one of those rare places where you feel like you're getting way more than you paid for. My only real complaints: if you're stopping in on a Wednesday or Thursday, don't count on pastries — they tend to run out by then. And if sourdough bread is your go-to, be warned, it's almost always sold out. Hopefully they can keep up with the demand, because honestly everything else here is flawless.

I love coming into Almost Home to grab a latte on morning walks with my dog. You might miss it at first, since it’s in the bottom level of Journal Squared residential building, but once in you won’t forget it. The atmosphere is so welcoming, with their abundance of seating, tables, and work space which incases a large coffee bar. The eclectic and quirky interior design, with their hanging chairs, velvet couches and books and magazines to browse through, made me want to stay for hours. I haven’t yet tried the food but the coffee, matchas and teas are incredible. And my favorite thing about Almost Home, as opposed to other coffee shops in the neighborhood, is their creative flavors and seasonal menus. Yesterday I tried a “cherry pistachio” iced latte off of their March menu and loved it. The service is friendly and fast and I love the cute affirmations the staff writes on the coffee lids. I need to come back and try the food and pastries soon, which look divine.
